My Merry-Go-Round Life

October 29th, 2009

Hello everyone.
I’ve had a fun couple weeks. It’s been busy. I went out to sunny, warm California a couple weekends ago. As so many places have dropping temperatures it was fun to be in the sun. I got to be a part of Church 212’s anniversary weekend. They were celebrating the church’s first birthday. It was so fun celebrating with the people and staff this milestone in their history. If you’re ever in the area go check them out there in Palm Desert, CA.

Next we celebrated my husband’s birthday. Yes, Cory turned the big 3-0. Don’t worry he’s handling it pretty well. He just rubs it in that he’s older and wiser than me now :-).

Last weekend I went up to the total opposite of sunny and warm. I went north to Grand Rapids, MI. It was the second tour stop on the SuperStart tour for preteens. It was a great two days there. It was also fun to stop by the Family Christian Store offices and meet with their music staff. I got to meet them, they got to meet me. I appreciate their support of “Have A Fancy Yancy Christmas”. Speaking of, I was so excited to see it’s available through a ton of mainstream outlets online like: amazon.com, bestbuy.com, target.com, barnesandnoble.com, borders.com I mean basically you pick your favorite store and ta da….there it is. I appreciate so much the nice messages on facebook, twitter and emails I’ve received of people enjoying the Christmas music.

On Tuesday of this week I was so blessed to be a part of the Orange Tour stop right here in Franklin, TN at The People’s Church. What a blessing to be with Reggie Joiner, Sue Miller and the wonderful reThink staff. I love what they do. They are champions for relevant ways to communicate to kids and students the love of Jesus.

I’m headed to Mobile, AL tomorrow to two wonderful churches. Both have staffs that I’ve know personally all or most of my life. So excited about being with great friends and meeting a ton of families. I know we’ll have an amazing time singing and praising together.

Alot of really neat, fun things are coming up in my world. I’ll continue to update you over the next few weeks on all the scoop. Thanks for your love and support and your prayers. I couldn’t do what I do with out each of you. Be blessed and remember “He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.” Go dream and run your race like never before. The finish line has an amazing reward!

Or a gift with a gift for someone else or a gift for you with a gift for you….you get the idea. :-) happy Christmas shopping to you!

Hello one and all.

It’s fall. I’m officially seeing bright colored leaves on the trees as well as a mountain of leaves falling onto and in front of my house :-) This past week has been filled with fun. Of course on Oct. 6th “Have A Fancy Yancy Christmas” released on CD in stores and iTunes. You can find it and the DVD here on my site. So far, I’ve been getting some wonderful emails and notes on facebook from listeners saying it will be one of their favorites of the season which is music to my ears!

Last week I was in St. Louis. It was the first weekend of the Super Start tour. If you haven’ heard of SuperStart you should check it out. It’s an event just for preteens (4th, 5th & 6th graders and their leaders). This is my third year leading worship for the tour. It was exciting to be back out there seeing some familiar faces, doing some new songs and just rocking out together while praising the matchless name of Jesus. If we come through your city I encourage you to check it out.

I’m about to start writing a devotional for students as well as continue making plans for my Christmas tour so…..please keep me in your prayers for creativity, wisdom, direction and rest! I’m so excited to share more with you about this as I delve in with both feet.

Just a reminder to you all. It’s so easy to be caught up with all the craziness that life brings. Tiny things happen all the time that just alter the course of our day and sometimes our joy. Remember that the Bible says “Be still and know that I am God.” If you’re anything like me this can be hard. It’s so important that we rest in the promises of God’s word. That we rest in the peace that He gives that passes all understanding. That we let the amazing arms of God wrap around us and comfort us and sustain us when we’re weary and tired. Whatever you do today choose to let the joy of the Lord be your strength…I know from experience that it can and will.

Have an amazing, fantastic day! Talk to you more soon.

Hello friends one and all.

Today is the big day I’ve been waiting for now for months: “Have A Fancy Yancy Christmas” CD is in stores TODAY! While watching TV yesterday I realized that today is also the day ‘Snow White’ comes out on BluRay…now I’m not trying to promote Snow White but she is my favorite Disney Princess so I thought it was special that me and Snow White have the same release date. :-) I got maybe just a little bit excited about the coincidence.

Because of the flurry of excitement going on around here. I have a special little gift for you. Any “Have A Fancy Yancy Christmas” purchase TODAY will come with a free Yancy tshirt. That’s right when you order a CD, the DVD or the combo you receive a free tshirt. All you have to do is put in the comment section (or email orders@yancynotnancy.com) what size you need. The options are:
Youth 6-8
Youth 10-12
Youth 14-16
Adult Medium
Adult Large
(Choose whether you want a pink or black T)

So it’s a great time to stock back some Christmas gifts for the Yancy fan in your life.

Please tell your friends, family, coworkers, pets, you name it, about the CD releasing today. I’m truly excited about this new music and can’t wait for you to hear it.

October 5th, 2009

This weekend was a fun one. I went down to the southern part of Georgia to Moultrie for a girls event. “Girls just want to have fun” right? It was a lot of fun. So great to hang out with girls of all ages and sing and celebrate with them.

When I got home I caught up on a bunch of projects at home. I was so excited to see my husband’s handiwork. Cory is a very talented and handy guy. He tiled a backsplash for our kitchen and it looks great!

I’m super pumped that tomorrow is the big launch day of “Have A Fancy Yancy Christmas” in stores. It’s exciting to hear people’s responses as they hear it. Check out the shout out in CCM I received on page 9! HERE

More to come. Have an amazing day!
