Yancy to Yancy

As most of you know by now I love Christmas! In every way. I enjoy Thanksgiving especially the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I wonder if I enjoy the parade so much cause there’s so many Christmas things in it? I think I may have just touched on something there……I had an amazing Thanksgiving and I hope yours was great too. I’m in Oklahoma right now visiting my husband’s family here so it was sad to be away from my family but I’m getting to see a few special friends so that makes it nice. I have been blessed tremendously. God is so good. He is constant and faithful. He heals the brokenhearted. He strengthens the weak. I am sitting here this morning very thankful for all God has given me.

Black Friday shopping is usually always on my list. I’m normally up and at it pretty early to make my Target and Best Buy stops (a couple of my favorites.) Last year I got to start early at midnight in fact because an outlet mall in Nashville “Opry Mills” opened at midnight. It’s genius, the rest of the world should follow suit. Staying up at midnight is easier than getting up at 4am :-) All that to say I know many of you are out shopping today. Be safe. Stay awake! I wanted to have my own little Black Friday shopping extravaganza so here’s what I worked up: Two for One CD’s RIGHT HERE today and tomorrow using code: blackfriday at checkout. Whatever CD you order we’ll send you two for the price of one (or buy the 10 pack of CD’s and instead get 20 CD’s for the same price.) Perfect gift buying. Happy Black Friday shopping to you and yours!

Thanksgiving is now over. So let the Christmas season begin in full swing. Let’s start shining bright cause love has come!

Very Thankful,

Happy Friday and weekend to you.

Some of you have been requesting chord charts for the songs on “Have A Fancy Yancy Christmas”. You can now download the charts and the song lyrics in a pdf on the media page.
So happy Christmas singalong to you and yours!

I’m in the Louisville, KY area today. We have another SuperStart event for preteens….then I’m off to Illinois on Sunday. One of the added perks of being in Louisviile is I get my favorite ice cream ever. Graeter’s ice cream. It’s from Ohio and only in Ohio and Kentucky….the “chip” ice cream is amazing and my favorite is “Coconut Chip.” So if you’re ever in the area stop in for a taste that will be so yummy! (And melt in your mouth….ha!) http://graeters.com/

Many blessings to you all. Thanks for your love and support.

My Heart Is Full

November 4th, 2009

My heart is full. I had a great weekend out on the road. I went to 3 different churches that all had staff members I’ve known for a very long time. It was so great to see familiar faces even if some I had not seen in years. I did a couple family concerts, a college event and a preschool concert. Here’s a picture of me and Bella. A three year old that just might be the biggest Yancy fan ever. She requested from her parents Yancy, or “Ancy” as she pronounces it, pajamas and bedding. Wow, that’s serious! It was so fun to sing and worship with people of all ages our amazing Creator. I truly have the best job ever.

Today was an exciting day as I met with the sales staff of Word Distribution. They are the ones who put my “Have A Fancy Yancy Christmas” CD in stores. Please go to your local Christian retailer requesting and looking for the CD. Also, my song “The Greatest Gift” is at radio now. Please support it. Call your local radio station requesting “The Greatest Gift”. I’ll have some TV appearances in December. I’m so excited to share and perform the songs. I’ll keep you posted on the details as it gets closer.

Have a wonderful fall day. Enjoy the bright colors of the leaves…..falling!
